My display at Holnest country farye

I am a second generation Master thatcher with a real passion for the craft, I am trained in Combed wheat, Water reed and all styles of ridging.

I have been thatching for about 12 years and I am a member of the Somerset Master Thatchers Association.

I completed my apprenticeship throughout Somerset and Dorset, I also attended Knuston Hall thatching college where I obtained my heritage skills NVQ level 3.

I completed a building craft apprenticeship with the Prince's Foundationin 2011, achieving an NVQ 3 in Carpentry.

I was later invited to tutor at the Prince's foundation annual summer school, workshop taster day, London's craft week and Live Build programme.

I am committed to encouraging the importance of cultural heritage within the traditional crafts.

I'm based in the South West, however my thatching and carpentry skills have also enabled me to work throughout the Wessex counties, Scotland and Wales.

I have worked with a whole range of clients and can provide all required insurances.

This summer you can find me demonstrating my craft at the Holnest country show.
